There is more on myspace

After a swarm of negative articles about vulnerable teens on myspace and the overall danger of using the site I’ve found another use for myspace.

There is a great community of artists and designers that use myspace to promote their works and events. Imagine, you can actually get a bulletin that is worth reading! I’ve been adding them to the Innertee myspace profile and have been chatting with a few folks there about doing some cool things once we get closer to the launch of Innertee.

Be sure to check a few of them out, there’s a lot of talent there.

It’s alive!

Innertee logo

The new phonebooks are here! Well, pretty close. We’ve finally decided on a logo for Innertee and its pretty out-there, in a good way of course. We tossed around a bunch of ideas and one of the main things that kept coming up was how generic they were. Most of the ideas were based off of some sort of graphic representation of a t-shirt. Nothing to get excited about really and they were pretty boring visually. Just another ‘me too’ logo that you wouldn’t remember 5 minutes after you saw it.

Thankfully my good friend Steve Gaines over at the Clockwork Group had a much better idea. The t-shirt sporting monk is a thing of beauty and just brings a smile to your face. I think it is one of those logos where you ‘get it’ without much explination. There are a ton of marketing ideas that the monk has spawned so that alone has really gotten the creative juices flowing. Thanks Steve! (Note: Steve is also blogging about his trip to adopt two childern from Kazakhstan over at www.rockthekazblog.com)

beta beta beta, sorry Buck

While discussing the possiblity of launching Innertee in the ever popular beta mode I came across this gem of a blog – The Museum of Modern Betas. Its actually a really cool site and has close to 600 compaines listed. It does however point out the obivious, there are a TON of companies out there in beta mode.

After further discussion I think we are going to aim for gamma release, it just sounds cooler.

dude, that’s epic

Epic Trip

Just found this site and thought I would share. The design is super clean and really easy to use. Their About section says that their goal is “connecting our travelers with videos, virtual tours, reviews, and the wealth of experience brought to bear by the very users of Epic Trip”. Since its still in beta I assume there will be more community features to come. I do like the ability to customize your Epic Trip, overall it has a lot of promise.

the American Apparel revolution

// February 2nd, 2006 // No Comments » // Fashion & Tees

One of the best things to come out of the wild success of American Apparel is the growing number of compaines offering ‘fashion blanks’. These compaines focus more on the cut, material and fit of the apparel and are really expanding beyond the traditional tees & sweats that have been out there for years.

Here are a few that stand out:

Alternative Apparel
The other ‘AA’ in the group. Alternative has some really cool caps & hats as well as a great line of mens & womens apparel. They also offer custom cut & sew services.

Article 1
Article 1 is a recent addition and offers some great organic based fabrics.

Royal Apparel
Similar styles to American Apparel but a little less expensive.

Bella
Large line of womens apparel and recently added mens line.
