As part of the new design we wanted to add some real-world textures to the site so we came up with our digital cardboard series, the cardboard will be used as the header background through-out the site. Every month or so we will feature a different innerTee artist. We provide the cardboard they provide the creativity.
This month our first ever digital cardboard is showcasing the super secret stylings of Diogo Machado, aka add fuel to the fire. Diogo hails from Portugal and lucky for us has chosen to use his ‘mega-outta-dis-world powers’ for good instead of evil. All of the elements used (outside of the tape & safety pins) are available to be mixed on the innerTee site and a few will also be featured in our first limited edition sticker series (look for that to hit next week).
If you are interested in the innerTee artist program signup for an account an shoot us an email with your info.

Its finally here! We are really excited to annouce that we’ve just finished testing and are launching our beta site. We are still restricting access as we get things up & running but you can signup for an account. Once we have a few move bugs worked out & the URL moved over we should be good to go.
Thanks to everyone who’s helped up in testing as well as the innerTee dev team and our family & friends. We are really fired up to get innerTee off the ground!

The East Austin Studio Tour is this Saturday & Sunday from 10-5. Its one of the coolest ways to see what’s going on in the Austin art scene and its always amazing to see how many talented artists & designers live and work right here. There is a map on the site showing where each gallery is located as well as a schedule of events and live music.
As part of the event the Sodalitas Art Group is working on their 1000 Cranes project and have posted instructions on how to make your crane, so be sure to drop it off when you stop by Bolm Studios.
Also happening at the same time is the no idea festival which I’m not as familar with but looks pretty cool.

Just found out about Cantanker, a local mag covering the Austin art scene (finally!). The mag is self described as “a spiky and slightly irreverent magazine that covers the burgeoning visual art scene in Austin, Texas” and looks pretty sweet. I’ve yet to get my hands on their latest issue but its published quarterly and costs $20 to subscribe.
Their web site is also pretty decent with some good online articles and a great resource for what’s coming up with a calender of events.

The Stitch Fashion Show and Guerrilla Craft Bazaar is happening this weekend at the Austin Music Hall. One of the coolest events around Stitch is ‘an annual celebration of independent design, artistry and creativity’.
If you’re in the Austin area its a required stop for sure! For more info checkout their web site and they also have a myspace page.

Thing have been a bit crazy this week as we have been getting ready for the next UI update. After a final push this weekend we should be ready to go early next week!
In the meantime – I did find a new vector illustration app that looks like a good alternative to Illustrator. Lineform by Freeverse is only $79 and the reviews look pretty promising. I’ve yet to spend much time using it but first glance is that is really well done. It even won a 2006 Apple Design Award. If anyone has used Lineform much I’d be interested in hearing what you think.
