Welcome to Community Metrics! Its been some time since i posted on a regular basis at all on the innerTee blog and I’m excited to be back at it. Quite a lot has been going since I landed here at Small World Labs last June and its been awesome. I’ve gotten to work with some amazing clients and really focus on building the Community Solutions team here that is tasked with helping our clients build scommunities.
The focus of this blog will be on how to create, measure and manage communities. I hope its an open and honest conversation and I welcome those who want to learn, share or challenge my thoughts and observations.
One of the biggest issues we face today from a social media & online community perspective is translation. The translation of goals, ROI, business value and even what success should be into real measurable metrics. They all tend to get lost behind the avalanche of technology and that magic ‘instant community’ button that everyone is looking for. Similar to the classic rushed translation of Zero Wing (shown above), everyone is in such a rush to get something out there in-market that not enough time is being taken to determine what is really needed and how its going to be measured.
Hopefully this blog will help continue the great conversation going on now and throw some new concepts into the mix. I look forward to the discussion and can’t wait to see what comes next.

WOW! Its been a while since the last post. Things have been crazy both with innerTee & personal life but things should be back to normal including more regular posts.
We’re still chugging away working on a redesign of the mixing tool (YES!!!) and a new kids line. Stay tuned for more updates soon!

This might be my new favorite blog killthepigeons.com. Officially titled ‘The Royal Society for the Preservation of Pigeon Killing’ this secret society has taken on the world-saving task of ridding the world of pigeons, a noble quest by any means.
Today I’d like to annouce innerTee’s official support for TRSFTPOPK and their efforts. With the resources required to battle such groups as PETA & the NY Bird Companion Club they have a truly daunting tast ahead of them but we stand united along side our anti-pigeon brothers (oh and they blogged about our site too).

We came, we saw, we lost. But, we made these shirts to make sure we never forget the pain… or something like that. Actually it was a great night at the SXSW Web Awards and we met a lot of amazing people. Congrats to all the ‘winners’ and thanks to everyone who voted for us!

Well its finally here, only the most awesomeist week of stuff that I can never seem to figure out where I want to go, see, do or miss. that’s right SXSW! And just to make it even more interesting those crazy BarCamp folks are throwing their own un-conference at the same time.
It should be a great time and there are like 500 parties a night so its never boring. I’ve also setup a Twitter account so we’ll see how that goes. It seems pretty cool at first but then 28 text messages 3 min later I’m not so sure. There’s a little orange box on the blog now where my pearls of wisdom & knowledge (or lack there of) will show up from time to time. If you’re in town and want to chat just post a comment or add us as your Twitter friend (no I don’t talk funny). Then you can get all the annoying messages we send out sometime after 3:00AM.

Cantanker magazine has just released issue number 3 and are throwing another party to celebrate. This times its Optophonique: A Collision of Video, Sounds & Performance. Not sure I know what that means but it sounds cool right? The shin-dig is scheduled for Saturday, March 10th from 8-12 midnight. More info on the Cantanker site announcement.
It also happens that AMODA is throwing their latest Digital Showcase as part of SXSW Interactive the same night. So there are two options for video collisions and general greatness.
